As the 1st of Syawal approaches, it is common for people to make Hari Raya preparations with last minute shopping. This causes a busy and lively atmosphere especially at shopping centres, as well as traffic congestion, particularly in crowded areas.

 

RTB crew took a closer look at several commercial buildings, shopping centres, and retail stores in the country. Said premises are teeming with people and usually becomes crowded especially after breaking of the fast, as people are looking to purchase Hari Raya essential at the last minute. Businesses are also offering attractive promotions and discounts on the last days of Ramadhan.

 

Roads heading to shopping centres experience congestion rarely seen on normal days, and this situation certainly tests the patience of road users. In celebrating the festive season, not all necessities need to be new, celebrate Hari Raya within means and in moderation as a sign of gratitude.

 

Car wash outlets are among the popular places in the final days of Ramadhan, especially for those who wish to celebrate the festive season with a clean and comfortable vehicle. Fuel stations are also congested with long lines of vehicles waiting to refuel.

 

Markets also become focal points ahead of Hari Raya for people to purchase fresh produce and seafood for Syawal morning meals. Many vendors increase their stock compared to normal days to meet the demands.
